McGinnis Reserve – Board meeting minutes – 03/13/2025

The meetings were called to order on 03/13/2025 at 7pm

Board members present:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Member At Large

Items discussed during the meeting were:

Financials:

  • Past due accounts are over $11,000. We will start collecting on those accounts

Property Maintenance:

  • Dead trees have been removed around main road that caused issues and damage to guard rail.
  • Pool fence repair is needed due to wind damage, including replacing posts and possibly fence sections. This repair will be completed in March.
  • Discussion about replacing the pool fence with a more permanent and aesthetically pleasing option (possibly metal or plastic). This is to be added to list of projects for future years.
  • Clubhouse water fountain electrical issues need to be addressed. Those will be handled by electricians.
  • Pine Straw will be replaced in March for spring season.
  • Mulch will be added around bushes at the entry.
  • Gullies caused by runoff from a rental property need attention; the owner will be contacted.
  • Tennis court fence tarp tie outs have been repaired, and metal zip ties are being used.
  • Pickleball court line repainting to more appropriate color to be done in March.
  • Playground door hinges and one door have been removed due to rot and damage.
  • Club house door locks and crash bars have been replaced.
  • Myrtle trees need to be trimmed around neighborhood entrance.
  • Pool wood pergola to be removed and new shade structures to be looked at before pool season.

Community Issues:

  • Concerns about dirt bikes being driven in the neighborhood, causing damage and safety hazards. Discussion of sending a formal notice to residents about the dirt bikes, with potential fines for violations.
  • Lake restocking of fish is being planned.

Website:

  • A new website is being developed.
  • Onboarding meeting with the website company is scheduled.
  • Plan to transition to the new website after it’s built and reviewed.
  • The old website will be replaced, but the current web address will be kept.
  • Instructions for residents on how to use the new website will be created.
